Welcome to our website for Expedition Cruising and Cruises for Nature. We are the specialists in expedition ships which cater for the more intrepid traveller. Antarctica is still our most popular destination and we have a number of ships which visit this Great White Continent. Nowhere else in the world can you expect to see giant tabular icebergs, masses of penguins and soaring albatrosses as you cruise along rocky inlets and take zodiac cruises through pack ice where whales and Leopard Seals are feeding. It is truly a unique experience and is still so popular that early booking is essential, as many cabins are sold over 18 months before the departure dates.
Cruises for Nature is the trading name for our Escorted Cruise section, where we have one of our professional guides in charge of our group. As name implies these cruises have been chosen for their appeal to the naturalist and are normally also excellent if you are a keen photographer.
In 2008 and early 2009 we have a large range of cruises to offer you. Whether you have always wanted to visit the North Pole, or to find Polar Bears in Spitsbergen, or see the seabird colonies of Scotland, or to spot your first penguin in Antarctica, then we have a cruise to fit these requirements.
There are a large number of expedition ships to choose from but we have selected the cream of the crop to offer you. Each of them comes with our seal of approval and we are confident that you will enjoy the varied itineraries that they offer.
Under our banner of Cruises for Nature we offer a select number of escorted cruises that have been hand-picked to offer a superb wildlife experience for the nature lover, bird watcher and photographer. These cruises include our ever-popular ones to Antarctica, as well as the Galapagos Islands, Spitsbergen, the west coast of South America and one that travels from New Zealand to Japan. On each of these cruises one of our professional guides will accompany you from when you leave the airport in London. They will be there to help with identifying the wildlife, looking after you on the ship and making sure that your holiday runs as smoothly as possible. Later, they escort you back on the return flight. We also provide species checklist for these cruises and we can even offer you a selection of field guides to help your enjoyment on each holiday.
Why not give us a call and make sure that 2008 is the year you travel with Expedition Cruising? We look forward to hearing from you soon.
